Any ideas?

Does anybody know where the fuse for the headlights on a Mini 35 are? The ones in the car behind the dashboard? And does anybody have a diagram of which fuse it is? I have done a search but can't find anything and had 5 hours of sleep. :(

Thanks.

There will not be one single fuse for the headlights because that is illegal. Think what would happen if it blew when you were driving in the dark! Modern cars, with over 50 fuses, have one for each headlight.

I am assuming you have lost the dipped headlights, but not main beam. Most likely a wire disconnected, or corroded. I would check at the dipswitch, and at the connector blocks behind the heaqdlights, in the first instance. Or the dipswitch itself could be faulty.

Cheers guys. Yes we have main beam, yes about the sidelights. All the fuses look fine. You have given me more food to thought and will go and have a look at the wires, dipswitch, etc. Thanks. Annoying not being able to drive in the dark!

Could it not be the bulb?

Its a different element for main and dip on H4 bulbs isn't it?
And the sides are on a different bulb.

if the switch is working fine then its probably the dim dip relay because on that model it will have the relay and its function is to turn the sidelights off when dpped and main beam are on.

Fab thanks. Probably won't get round to fixing it until the weekend, we've got a new switch coming from Mini Spares, if that doesn't fix it I will try the dip dim. Then if none of this works I will cry! :proud:

Going to have to re-check the wires in more detail, what colour will they be for the headlights?
