Does anyone know how much a +30 set of these cost new for the 1275?
What are peoples views on them?

Possibly the very best pistons ever for a modified Mini.
The last new set I managed to find was expensive and I think I paid around £420 + VAT for a 1310 cc (i.e. +0.040") set.
I've used them in several full-on rally Cooper 'S's over many years and have never had a piston failure, despite using over 7000 rpm sometimes.
Very highly recommended.

They are a little heavier than your usual pistons and are a 4 ring piston not a 3 ring more race orientated piston, but they are bullet proof.

I'd rather pay £300 for a set of cast omega's.

I wouldn't. Karl Schmidt are probably the finest pistons you can get.
