looking at taking out the single din unit and fitting a double din with sat nav, anyone done it before and if so a few pictures would be handy.

I don't think Anyone has managed to fit one In the dash as the bulk head is in the way at the top of the dash, because the bulk head slopes

if you were going for a computer build, then this monitor should fit without touching the bulk head but don't quote me on that LINK

if you ask me, an in car computer beats a double din head unit by miles, so much more versatile and you can still get GPS, bluetooth etc. probably cheaper than a head unit that has all of these functions too. don't forget you could even get mobile internet on it!

Nikral have you already bought a Double din unit?

If not then you could use a Alpine hub pro, Sat Nav with a TME-M780 touch screen up front.
The TME-M780 is only about 20/30mm thick so can be mount on or behind the dash with ease.

OR Alpine and others do make Single din units with a slide out pop up display...

I have the hub pro, Sat Nav with a TME-M780 etc in my BMW.

not bought one yet just testing the water regarding what people have fitted, looked at a couple of single din but they seem a lot more expensive than the double din units
