Will car pass MOT with air horns instead of normal electric one ?
We were discussing the other night & no one came up with a definite answer

I don't know whether they 'should' but I know A LOT do. I also know that you can't have 2 tones or a musical tone (sounding seperately, you can have 2 go off at the same time)

They were fitted when I got it & it is now ready for test after a full rebuild, didn't know whether to fit a horn just for test then go back to air horns

Single sound horns should pass. "musical" horns will not.

provided its a single tone horn and not insanely loud then it should pass, a really anal tester (*waits for gay jokes*) might advise it for being a bit loud.
Musical horns won't fail an MOT provided that they are on their own switch (not the factory fitted horn switch) and that there is a single tone horn on the factory fitted switch.
