2: no one should tell you specific make and model, just recommendation of size/style of sub and what sort of amp.
3: If your having a sub in the boot you cannot have speakers in the rear shelf, unless you put them in enclosures.

1: optimise automotive make good sub enclosures, but what you need depends on the boot liner kit you already have and the size of sub you go for. But to do it properly you should really make one from fibre glass (rear) and MDF (front) yourself.
2: It depends on budget, but a 4 channel unit with 50 to 150 watts per channel. You can then use 2 channels bridged for the sub and the other 2 channels for the full range. Most find a 10" sub is prefect in a mini but if you want mega bass and go for a 12 or higher, then you will need to be prepared to build the enclosure heavy duty and budget plenty for soundeading...
3: In any small car full range speakers have no place behind you. Best practise is a set of 6.5" comps mounted up front in pods on the kick panels or in the doors. With the tweeters on the dash or In the A-pillar.
All this has been covered many times in this section, have a read of some of the posts it should help you decide what to go for.

What type of music do you like listening to?
Do you like bassy sounds or crisp & clear music?
What is your budget roughly?
Do you want a hidden install or something on display?
Do you plan on making any enclosures or DIY'ing anything yourself or buying 'off-the-shelf' items?

i prefer bass
i dont want to be spending alot but i want cheap stuff which is ok as i can get audio bits at trade price anyway
and i dont mind making my own if i have some plans to work from but i would like off the shelf
and the other thing is i want it quite hidden it like it in the side pannel opposite to the petrol tank and was going to hide the amp behind the sub as i dont want to loose my boot or union jack board on the back of my boot liner kit
hope this helps a little more josh.

If you want bass and you don't do the install well, your car will sound like a noisy buzzing mess!

Most (but not all)of the all in one sub/amp combos are tat though.
But please avoid Halfords!
Almost everything they sell audio wise is aimed at the bling per buck Chav market.
Have a look on Car audio direct, one of the best online ICE retailers.
But if your on a budget pre-owned might be the best route...

If i was you i would go for the 'type R' sub, much better, but yet again depends on your budget.
You have to think about the whole package, not just buy one item and find out you bought an amp that isnt powerful enough to run the speakers.
As above look at some of the projects and other links, lots of usefull info.
Good Luck
