Long story short anyway, I would love to get him an experience for Christmas but can only find a raceway in isle of man that offers a car and training. Does anybody know of any others preferably in the midlands? Or would anybody on here that owns a mini stox be prepared to do something similar with a hire of a track and if so what would you charge?
Thanks

Anyway on topic, I dont know of any expirence days in the midlands, or anywhere, for ministox at least. However, there is practise nights at Birmingham on Wednesday nights throughout the season but I am unsure as to whether they run throughout the winter, or off season as it where, so if you have any contacts in the short oval scene who has a mini, may let you borrow it for a practise night. Hope this helps

Theres a lot of money spent and I know if it were my car theres no way I would risk letting someone out in it.
What happens if the engine blows up or he has a smash, who pays for the damage?
I really can't see this happening sorry.

And shifty, I fully understand what your saying and what I am asking is a massive ask. What I was thinking is more of a tutoring session and not to just let an inexperienced drive out on their own. I was sure Birmingham wheels used to offer that themselves but don't seem to anymore. Somewhere must offer something though surely, otherwise how does somebody getting into ministox know its for them before spending thousands on the car and trailer and kit etc?

unfortunately most poeple borrow cars off other people they know who race to try it out, it may be worth going to a few meetings next year and seeing whos about.
the flip side is i know of other peolpe who have bought cars for their kids and after 2 or 3 meetings they dont like it, this is somewhere i might end up next year as my daughters starting racing 1 next season
