They got sold, as well as the mambas and flipfront as it was a poor moulding, I've changed my plans multiple times, I've had enough time to think about it!

I've wrapped up the orginal interior and any spi specific parts put them in the loft!

This is my new plan:
Full nut and bolt rebuild,
new engine rebuild torque/fast road spec + gearbox rebuild
Still going for 10's
On 7.5 cooper s brake's
MPI engine on specialist components 5 port kit in possibly in preparation for supercharger
Mk1 flipfront
Riley elf dash
Brown interior
Rollcage
Copper color details
Respray in either a dark shade of Brooklands green or Connaught green

Managed to borrow the work van then myself and my brother collected the shell from the lockup in a soggy field,

This should be the final time I have to lug the shell around due to moving, so happy I finally have a place to work on it!

Also collected hobbyweld bottle + adaptor,
Next up is making a welding trolley and getting shell on spit.

Spent a afternoon on the mini today
Started by clearing out the shell, cleaned and boxed parts and stored away,
Before:
20160122155403_1_zpsbmcz0r6h.jpg

Hooked up extra lamps on clamps so I can actually see what I'm doing for prep,
Then removed the pedal box as it was bugging me

Then I decided to start on removing the scuttle panel,
Also cut out the chassis stamped part of the scuttle in preparation to fit to new scuttle,
First time using a proper spot weld cobalt drill bit as recommended, drilled slowly to try and not go to deep into the next panel, happy with the results

Started on the spit mounts:

Ran out of gas on my last little bottle, so the rest of the day was spent sourcing a regulator for my hobbyweld bottle,
My plan for a welding trolley, I'm going to take the lid of my roller toolbox, mount welder in top, then build a bracket on side to mount the bottle, and its red so will match the welder! ;)

Finished the spit,
Had a few issues getting it level, also my locking bolts grip the pole but are not man enough to lock it at 90° , going to drill through it and stick a bar through to act as lock

The underside is a little better than I expected:
1 oversill P/S, a plated oversill D/S which is only half the length appears to have been dressed but poorly treated
Heel board is bad.... Think in going to do front floor pans to make this easier
Boot needs rear repair, and repairs around subframe mounts,
Rear arches are good
Oh and it's had a genuine rover side panel fitted on P/S so hopefully those areas will be in better condition than D/S

In case anyone is reading this and wondering what happened to your original doors?,

Well they disappeared in the night whilst moving house, I suspect it was the do as you likey's
Left them in a unlocked shed, chances are they eyed up the car but fortunately I moved it shortly afterwards, due to the stress of the move I didn't realise we they were gone until I went looking for them.

Brought a replacement set in a joblot (the dark blue ones) in earlier photos but have decided to stick them on eBay, as they both needed re-skining and frame repairs.

Got a great set off "sawyer" on here, only need a small amount of work result!
