hope no one thinks im treading on their toes here, but im now offering my welding services to the public.
i pride myself on doing the best job that is possible when repairing rusty old minis. i dont "patch" over things, or leave any rust behind, and i certainly dont chuck oversills on. however i do cut everything back, make neat repairs, flush with the existing panels in floors or whatever.
having spent nearly 3 years working at a classic car restoration business, working on all sorts of oldies, then a short stint with S.H.F before working for another local (to me anyway) mini specialist for the last year.
im not looking to steal potential customers from where i work now, but as we are almost always fully booked up i thought i could do a few jobs for people at my own place in spare time, and time off from work etc.
some of you may have seen my work in my project thread (limo and hatchback) and hopefully can see im competent, and not affraid of a challenge!
please feel free to ask any questions or pm me for more details, thanks.

just a quick bump, and thanks to the customminis guys for the comment! i am very fussy about the finish on my welding, thats for sure, maybe a bit too picky sometimes!
carlzilla on here showed my a fantastic picture today of what i can only describe as "interesting" welding that he saw the other day. yikes!

just a couple of quick pics from a job i did yesterday.
there was some minor crud in this seam where the filler (a previous owner applied) had cracked and allowed rust to start. i ground it all out, welded along the seam, and ground the seam back in, i then rust treated it anyway and prepped for paint.
the rest of the wing was in great condition and was also original, to keep the cost down for the customer, and to keep the car as original as possible i cut the rotten bit out and made a new section. there is a return under there that you cant see running along the scuttle as you would normally find on the wing (hope you know what i mean?)

i didnt realise greggy50 had added these pics.
its worth pointing out the pictures showing the drivers wing are not finished, i did add the return lip back onto the bottom to give the wing the strength it should have, before fitting the wheel arch again.
also the front wings to front panel isnt welded together in any of these pics, hence the gap doesnt look good.
just to clarify thats all!
