Could something like a shoe being misplaced have warped my new drum?

I could be wrong here, but I'd say those shoes in the picture are wrong way round.
I've flipped pic, The red arrow is wheel rotation
The yellow arrow I treat that area of shoe as a lead in section so that section of shoes would be at the top on the passenger side of car. I've tried to find other brake pics and they aren't clear but do seem to show same setup I describe.

If you painted a line on the drum, the line when the wheel is spun forward should hit the section of shoe with less friction material first.
Its the same both sides of the car.

The gap at the end of the brake shoe goes in the direction of the wheel rotation!!

Take another look at the photo and you will see its exactly the same...So whats wrong with the photo..am I missing something?
Oh hang on! your picture is of the right side and the photo is of the left side...I get it now...
