my dad cant find his manual and need to know what to set his spark plugs to. he has an early 998 (with tappet chest covers on the back etc) what should the gap be set to?
metric and imperial size would be best ASAP

cheers for the reply, when i got outside he told me it was the points gap he actually wanted and that he'd found his book.

Champions N9Y or NGK BP6ES, gap from 25 thou (1.5 ohm coil + points and condeser) to 30 thou (3.0 ohm coil + electronic ingition). With high energy coils you can try a wider gap (about 35 thou) to achieve a stronger spark.
