im having problems fitting the tranny case, its had a new seal and it will fit over the first bit of the primary gear untill the smooth section before the other gear(get me??) but then i cant move the case any further, this seams to be the thing stopping it, the two bolt things r lining up aswell so doubt its that??

any ideas, thanks

Check that the idler and spigot bearing are entering correctly, the spigot can drop the small rollers slightly, so a good dolop of LM grease ca prevent that, as for the seal, take the primary gear off the crank and fit into the transfer case through the seal, and then offer both up to the engine at the same time... there's less chance of damaging the seal like this if you are not using a primary seal tool..

Finally (I've done it once :fear: ) make sure you have not got one of the locating pins in both the gearbox and the transfer case.. :nugget:
