Hi All

i have a honda civic vti-s which i am going to be putting the engine in a mini

this is the problem i get with the car
i will try to tell you guys what it does right so the car will start up on the first / second go and will run fine with no rattles / smoke nothing sounds a nice engine until it gets warm. it will then start to misfire / backfire when going down the road and if you put your foot down it will pick up speed slowly until vtec comes in but if you have been driving it for about 10 minutes and i switch it off and then try to start it 5 minutes later it just coughs / backfires and won't start.

i have looked at the plugs, leads, coil pack, dizzy cap & given it a compression test and all are fine so i am now thinking it's the fuel pump as the plugs where not wet with fuel when i took them out. theres no engine management light on and i have found the 5 & 2 pin blue plugs and linked the 2 pin one but the engine management light does not flash with a code it just stays on?
