Because my clubby estate has no engine or any ancilleries at the moment I have plenty of scope as to choose not only the type of engine I want but all the other components too.

So does anyone have any opinions or suggestions as to the best of the specific types of ancileries? Ie plastic or metal clutch cylinder? Servo'd brakes or not? Which type of radiator and distributer? etc etc

I need to start thinking of these parts because I want to start a collection  !

Any thoughts on the subject?

Depends what you're going to be using it for mate????

The above looks nice, put probably not as a daily driver. I'd prefer a servo for daily driving and them webers must give out a bit of a roar :erm:

Stick with a A series though.. don't matter which

Ok well the mini's going to be a comfy cruiser with loads of ICE and leather! its not going to be a racer so the emphasis is on what works best and what looks best!

 Thats not mine mate but it should hopefully look a tadge like it once its finished.

I would personaly give the motor a bit of a spring clean and start from there. My favorite is to keep the block MOWOG Green and the gearbox and clutch housing silver. Even if you keep the rubber hoses, make sure they are nicely buffed up as I reckon you dont have to spend a fortune to make a nce looking motor. As long as its clean and tidy, you should be able to pop the bonnet and be poud of it

Before you start collecting anything mate, choose your engine. No point choosing a dizzy or radiator until you got your engine. Makes sure everything is compatible then, and will save wasting money on parts you might not end up using.

For the type of car you're after (comfy cruiser) something without a hairy cam or noisy weber.

Have you got no engine at all? Or have you got the clubby's engine?
If it's the 1000/1100 i would keep it, and have it livened up a bit.

piper 270, modded head, lcb, rc40 maybe twin carbs just to look fancy

The only part i've got at the moment is some twin HS2's (for the looks!)

I want the engine to have some go because i can see this mini getting heavy with the amount of stuff i want to put in it, but yes i think that may be a good idea to wait till i have an engine to decide on those parts.
