Theres so much information about all the Rover mini's except the JCG LE's. Maybe they're a bit geeky which is why I love them

To be honest I dont understand and cant find alot of details on how John Cooper had free rein to make them, did he buy the cars straight off the line and then modify them? Or was it an arrangement with Rover where they shared the cost and profit? I'm not on about the conversion kits, rather the cars they released themselves.

How many models did the JCG Garage make as LE's/SE's?

I know of (in no year order)

S Touring
S Works
S Sport 5

These 3 as far as I know were made to order so final numbers that hit the road are fague to say the least

Then theres the:-

Grand Prix...35 made
John Cooper Le S Works...25 made (this was the John Cooper Le they decided to put a works conversion on and sell as a seperate Limited Edition)

Are there any others?

Its winter and I'm bored, any info or history on the John Cooper Garage's cars would be great.

I should join the Mini Cooper Register, the 'Cooper World' mag sounds great.

Hard to find any facts about Paddy, but yeah hes a Mini John Cooper with the red leather interior and chrome dash, mounted on the glove box is a plaque giving his number out of 25 made. I have managed to track down an old mini mag with a great article and review on them, but thats about all I can find so far. Unfortunately the Grand Prix register seems to have fallen by the wayside and hasnt been updated since 2006
