I use chrome polish, a cloth, and a polishing motion with this cloth.

But seriously, use whatever polish suits you, Autosol, Brasso, I use some Holts chrome bike polish. It's all polish at the end of the day, nothing special about it!

All of the above are far too abrasive for regular chrome polishing. With todays chrome you will rub through it leaving the horrible finish underneath showing through. What you need is the Britemax Twins! (Stay with me here!) Britemax make a dual pack of polish and sealant. The polish, does what it says, polishes the finish. The sealant then protects that finish so it doesn't oxidise/tarnish as quickly. You should only need to polish chrome 2-3 times a year max using these bottles and you won't rub through your chrome :)

If there was nothing special about it why do companies spend millions on developing it? ;)

Use Mother's Aluminium/Chrome polish. Its imported from the US, but you can get it here
http://www.performan...ch_type=suggest

Its the best polish I've used, can be used on all metals. It is really fine polish, get a really good shine from it!

Autosol is great for the likes of stainless, but ally and chrome you need a finer polish with a protection coating. Not putting down autosol, its good stuff, but you'll get a better result with a finer polish like mothers.
