Does anyone know approximately how much a block weighs with the crank, camshaft and pistons intact?

Cheers.

From memory from picking one up, id say around the 50-60kg mark.

Yeah I'd say that sounds about right, just wanted to know what weight I was breaking my back with earlier!

Cheers.

Lol, its not too much the picking up (I'm only 10.5 stone but not much fat at all) but moreso the walking with it, you have to shuffle with it or you lose your balance haha.

My 998 A series block with absolutely nothing attached was 29.5kg.

Crank I'd say is about 8kg, pistons/rods about 5kg and cam about 1kg :)

I know I shouldn't, but I'd guess at sub-50kg for a bottom end as they're not that difficult to pick up.

Here you go guys, here's the weight my scales say a 1275 A+ engine, with the following components fitted: Pistons, Con Rods, Crankshaft, Cam & Followers, Oil Pump and Oil Pressure Relief Valve Assembly = 53.4 kg :)
