This Mini arrived at the workshop today and I couldn't believe my eyes.

I only hope no one here EVER does this in an attempt to repair the engine steady. Apart from being a horrible looking repair it just doesn't work. What you can't see in the picture is a bar running from the engine side of the steady to the slam panel to try hold that in place.
