Hi all,
Lookin to turn mini van (no salvagable for complete resto) into trailer. Any advice, images of converted ones or anny useful info would be much appreciated.

as with any trailer made from a mini the weight of the trailer is the biggest problem
just make sure everything is as light as it can be

Get a towbar made up/fitted to your mini first then you have that as a reference for the height of the trailer hitch.
Don't just bodge things, if the van is too far gone for restoration it will still need the rust repaired properly as a trailer.
Cut out any unneccessary metal like rear bins, seat lip etc to make it as light as possible & remove all the factory sound deadening, you won't need it.
If you have the money invest in some Trailer Suspension Units (6th pic down) as you will have a massive weight saving over the subframe & radius arm setup.
Don't have a big flat front on the trailer (like most people), curve it or angle it somehow. This will reduce the drag massively & improve your aerodynamics & MPG.
That's my 2p worth.
