Been on the phone to peter james and asked them about the situation on a 18 year old driver with a 998cc mini but i have to wait til jan 2012 when it is 20 years old and they said they would insure me no problems . As i have seen all the discussion about footman james pulling out of young drivers insurance . Has anyone recently had a qoute from peter james ? are their prices still around 700-800 for a 998cc tpft or have they gone up ???

i had a 6 month bad told about the mods and but my now wife on and quoted £150, was 2 year ago and was 25

My son is insured with Peter James. He is 20 and this will be his second year with them. Mk1 with 1100 engine, stage 1, Fiesta calipers and various other mods all declared, agreed valuation. Renewal price £580 fully comp.
The 2 years prior to this he was with FJ @ around £1200 to 1300 PA.

I just phoned up Peter James, and they told me they are not insuring young drivers at the moment
