To power a Mig welder and Boil a kettle etc you would need a generator with an output of at least 2.5 kva but 3kva would be better. expect a petrol consumption at full load of about 3 ltrs per hour of running. best ones are Honda, Robin, SDMO,suzuki Yamaha, etc try to avoid Kipor, or anything with a Briggs and Stratton engine. Oh they are Noisey.

Personally I would go Honda out of that list. My dad's genny and lawn mower - both ages old and never failed (they have been well maintained tho).

Just why I have my outside sockets on an individual switch on the fuse board ;)

At Noz-Alls we do Mosa generators but they start at 6kVA and are not exactly cheap. If you ever need anything bigger I can help. In the meantime, eBay?
