As title, whats best, someone tried to "borrow" my new minilites last night. Luckily I noticed the wheel nut they dropped & had a close look - all had been removed from 1 wheel
It was fitted with the security type nut where you slide a shaped socket over to remove (best description) but these had been removed

I have these
http://www.minispare...id=32747&title=
They will fit any 8 spoke cooper wheels. I have them fitted on mine, I have a rover cooper RSP with the rover replica minilites.
I think they are a stainless steel one so they won't rust, and so far after a couple of months they have been fine with no spots of rust. So recommend them. If you are unsure of whether these would fit yours give mini spares a ring and they will be able to tell you if they will.

Yeah there all a pretty similar design, but I would get the mini spares ones as for £7 the eBay ones can't be that great quality. As he saying goes, you get what you pay for.
I can highly recommend the mini spares ones for the fact they are hassle free and a better quality.

Locking wheel-nuts are one of the few things where I thought Cosmic had a good design (I'm not generally a fan of the old Cosmic stuff). They are a conventional nut but deeper and with a series of concentric ridges inside the top edge, a full sleeve goes over the whole lot and a lock barrel holds the two together. The sleeve is smooth and will spin forever without taking the nut off and those locking nut removers won't work. Once the lock is removed a proper wheel-brace can be used so there's no problem if they need a bit of force to remove them whereas some of the desgns just end up with you twisting the pins off or mis-shaping a cam.
