1275 rover 1993 rio.
working on a full clean up and rebuilding block and head. However want to leave transmission and gears alone mainly down to time cost and lack of experience.
is it best to re assemble block and transsmission then clean outside or to cover the inside best as possible and clean the exterior?
inside i really really dont want to take it apart can i just clean the inside out with jizer and brake/clutch cleaner with a rinse and blow dry then lined back up with coopermans engine assembly lube?? whats people thoughts on this as there is some varnishing inside but gears look fine and i had no problem before the strip down.
cheers
