Hi guys,

Firstly, hello to everyone, I've only just joined!

Right, the problem. I was due to go to London this evening to see my girlfriend, a good 2 1/2 hour drive, so I did all the usual pre-trip checks. I got to the brake lights, and -hello- problem. Neither of them is working. Both tail lights work, indicators, reversing light and fog light, they all work, just not the brake lights. Both bulbs are fine, although I broke one whilst checking it, so both have been replaced. The fuse (top on in the fuse box) is fine, and the connections to this look okay. The switch under the break pedal seems to be working correctly, although I haven't check if it is getting current, not really sure how? The earth on the bracket on the RHS rear lights looked a bit corroded, so I've changed that, all to no avail! Right now I'm stumped, I haven't touched the earth on the LHS as the petrol tank is in the way, but the look clean. Any ideas? I'd ideally like to fix this tonight or tomorrow so I can get down to London!

Thanks in advance guys!

Sam & a poorly Vinnie!

Never mind, I managed to test the brake pedal switch by touching the two wires and hey presto, we have light so I think I've found my problem!
