I would not advise steam cleaning your engine!!
Would be better to coat it in degreaser

Why not steam clean? I just had a bad oil leak and was thinking of getting it done...
Also thought o the option of covering the affected areas in degreaser and pressure washing?

I wouldn't bother with Mini electrics!!!
As suggested, degrease it with solvent.
