Try crimping the runners slightly with some mole grips then tap them on the glass, they should grip. you can even put some silicon sealant in the channels to help secure the glass when set

Sonikk4, the rails do not go on fully. They fit about 3/4 of their full depth onto the glass and then refuse to move anymore. I have even given them a good beating with a rubber mallet but they just wont go on any further.I reckon two bolts per rail would be alot more effective than just the rubber strip as there is no way that the rail can fall off the glass then. Also it is alot easier than spending an hour or two trying to squeeze on the rails

When you are assembling them they will take a bit of effort to push over the glass but it's worth doing properly.

That is your problem...
I used some **cough** personal lubricant on the rubbers [snigger] and the rails, put the rubber half over the glass (not fully down) then added the rail. Pushed as hard as I could [snork] hen used a rubber mallet to knock them home...
