Just got a mini city e on 1982 for my son who is 15 to do up hopefully before he is 17 and can learn to drive. Has a new front end ie new wings and front panel. On having a good look the wings have been put on wrong so I now have to grind the wings off and put new on only to find the a panels are shot and the hinge post needs renewing but will get there in the end. We have been given 4 minilites wheels and have got most panels now so will be looking for bits and pieces from now on cheers

Well my Dad has had a few days on the mini as there is not much work about, he was trying to get the wring sorted for the lights and indicators and had a few problems only to find that the lad who had it before us had drilled through the wiring when drilling the spot welds so he was soldering the wires toghether today, then now the indicators come on but do not flash he thinks its the relay as it has a relay with 2 connectors but 3 indicator wires (1 not connected). Also on the inner wing there is catty over a bit of perferated metal which we are gonna grind back and weld a plate over, we freed the clutch rod only to find that there is no pressure on the cluth rod when it is depressed, so my dad thinks maybe the clutch is stuck together or needs a new one,

have you tryed bleeding the clutch slave cylinder ? as this maybe the problem with your clutch andwould only take a couple of mins to do instead of a couple of hours doing a clutch
