Have had my cooper in for some restoration after the wings, Scuttle and passenger side door started showing signs of rust

The removal of the old panels begins





Found a nice hole in the dash panel

Also found that the inner wings had both fractured

Thanks the guy doing it said that the inner wing swung like a barn door lol
The car is almost back together now and i will post up some more pictures of the progress

Oh and it looked so nice in the first photo! It's good you know it's true self underneath the paint and you're getting it sorted properly. I'm going to cry if I find a hole like that when in MPi when the windscreen comes out!

Yeah i was shocked thought the leak that i had was just the windscreen rubber

Have had all the holes welded up now just sorting out the photos

Yay for another mpi being reborn!! But BOOOOOO to rover & their shoddy metalwork. A car that's 11 or 12 yrs old should really not be in that state.

I'm in Dorking. I have an anthracite mpi with red interior. I saw you two quite often over the Summer - if you are indeed the same pair of red coopers! Is it you or your mate that lives in my neck o' t'woods?
