Whilst I was away during my Christmas break, my house got broken into, and took my Mini as well.

It's 1991 Automatic British Racing Green Mayfair, with Minilite Alloy wheels. The registration number is

H583 NVP

and it was stolen around Greenwich, London.

Many things have been taken from my flat, but I am especially upset that my Mini is gone.

Also, this is the first time that this sort of thing happened, I am insured with Lancaster Car insurance with comprehensive cover. I haven't called them yet as the police just had been to my place, but will do soon once I get the report number. If the car is not recovered, I'm not sure how much they would compensate for my car. I am still very shaken, and any advice would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Justin

You'll have a hard job getting more than value you quoted when you insured it and it's more than likely they'll offer you less. Stick to your guns & gather as much evidence of current Mini sale values as you can, you don't have to accept an offer just because they made it.

If they stole it with the keys make sure you have evidence of forced entry into your property!

Hope you get it back!

Good Luck
