Stering Drop Bracket.

Any know the correct procedure. Is there a special spanner canr seem to grip the nuts to get the old one off

It is different for the mpi car, its not a bracket you use but a block which lowers the steering wheel a fixed amount

If you have an MPi then in my opinion it is a very bad idea to lower the steering column even by using the readily available spacer. If an air bag hits you in the wrong place (as in the chest when it's designed to catch your head) it can easily kill you.

its a right arse trying to get the old bracket of i had to use a hack saw blade to cut through the bolt and replaced it thats on the spi mini my advice would be to try and twist it with mole grips

Don't forget to loosen the steering rack U-Bolts so that you can lower the column otherwise you will put too much strain on it.

(Pain in the arse job which is why I have got a bracket that has never been fitted)
