Sadly the time has come to sell my mini (silver 1984 998cc Mayfair). I’ve acquired a new job with a 70mile/day commute and the mini is just not the car to do it comfortably in. The car has been my daily drive for the past 6 years and runs very nicely and has had quite a lot of time and money put into the engine and body over that time. It however, like most minis, needs a bit of welding for it next MOT (July 2012).

The Good Points
  • Runs very nicely, with the ignition system having just had a full service including new coil.
  • Only done 58,000 miles
  • 60’s era 3 branch works Cooper exhaust manifold with Maniflow small-bore single box system, only recently fitted.
  • HIF 38 SU Carburettor.
  • Stack ST700 Race Dash (http://www.stackltd.com/st700.html) in pod mounted by the side of the standard instruments. Also have unfitted oil pressure sensor harness.
  • Full rear valance and sub-frame mounting replacement last summer.
  • MOT until July 2012. No tax, car currently SORN and stored in a garage.
  • CD player and under-seat rear speaker panel.
  • New clutch fitted three years ago.
  • Spax Adjustable dampers all round.
  • Full service history (the car has been in my family since it was just a year old and most of the receipts etc. are present).
  • Stormforce tailored fit outdoor car cover, only 6 months old (http://www.coveryour.../stormforce.htm).
The Bad Points
  • Driver’s side sill and door step will need repairing for this year’s MOT.
  • Driver’s side rear wheel arch inside the boot looks like it’ll need patching, but not sure if this would be an issue for the MOT.
  • Passenger side A-Panel is starting to look a little ropey, but still has another couple of years in it.
  • The panels around the front lights are bubbling quite heavily, but were repaired a few years ago so should still be solid behind the surface.
Car is located in Canterbury, Kent.
£1200 ono

After recieving a number of requests for more pictures I've deceided just to post them here to save me emailing them. These are another photo of each the front, back and interior as well as ones of the 3 main trouble spots of the door step, rear wheel arch and passenger a-panel. I hope these answer any questions that people had.
