Thanks for the info.. I was not aware that the Ratio was as small as 3-1...I could only go on my own limited experience on this subject and when the nylon cup wore through on my mini the tyre was actualy rubbing on the lip of the arch, Which was a drop on that side of the car by over an inch...I did replace the donut at the same time though so I guess I had more than one fault..
Anyway I hope this has helped the OP...even if its just to eliminate the cup as the fault..

Yes, the ratio is 3:1 at the front. You may be confusing it wuth the rear ratio, which is much larger, 7:1 if I remember correctly.
But worn knuckles are bad news, and they ought to be replaced at suitable intervals, because often the ball does wear through the cup, and after a short while the arm is scrap, because the new cup will not seat correctly. Likely nothing to do with the problem here however, which is that something is bent or broken.

had it up on the ramp today and after a good look still cannot find out whats wrong with it, nothing appears to be bent or broken, starting to put it down to a badly fitted wheel arch or maybe even its been in an accident before and the front wing has been bodged on
