I'm thinking of upgrading my standard 12" brakes to 4 Pots.
Any one got any sugestions and who does a good complete kit to do it yourself.
I might even go to 7.5" so I can run 10" wheels, do they offer any more stopping power than the standard 12" disc?

For a road car hey are not really needed. There was another thread along these lines a couple of days ago.
The 4-pots really only show an advantage when fitted to racing cars running very 'sticky' tyres.
The standard 7.5" or 8.4" discs are fine so long as they are in good condition with top quality pads. Have a look at the other thread.

Standard brakes are more than adequate for any sane road use. If you want to go down to 10" wheels (excellent plan!) turn the discs down to 7.9" and fit Fiesta Mk I or II calipers. Even better brakes (larger pad) and won't break the bank.

As previously said, if your standard brakes are well kept, then 4 pot will be overkill

Have to agree with comments as long as you have a servo the original 8.4s are good.I only fitted 4 piston ones because when I took the metro engine from scrappy I had the whole subframe, wheels, drive shafts, the lot ..All for £30!! so just couldnt help myself,I had to fit them. One thing though,if you are increasing the engine's power etc,the insurance companies do like to see the better brakes listed in your spec.
