This is a video I made at the weekend using a homemade headrest camera mounting. Filming is done on the way back from Demon-Tweeks in Wrexham toward Stoke-on-Trent. Hope you all like it!

To be honest I was unsure about the music myself. I will remove the music from the in-car sections and see if its any better

Thanks

Well, it wasn't pretty, but it was only a prototype! Two bits of wood, one about a foot long and one a bit shorter. The longer piece infront of the headrest posts and the shorter one behind them. 4 long screw fastened them together and clamped them to the headrest posts. Then I drilled vertically through the end of the longer piece and found a bolt with the correct thread to fit the camera. Just adjusted the backrest of the seat to adjust the angle of the camera.

Going to be making 'version 2' soon using metal and small u-bolts. Should look much better and last for more than one use!

Could just use a gorilla tri-pod?

then just grip it to the headrest posts.

Cool video as well, I miss driving a mini, sounds nice as well

EDIT: AHHHH mega link, haha sorry.

Good steady video you've shot. What sort of camera are you using.

I use a tripod in the footwell, which I tie to the window winder and the heater slide to stop it falling over. This was shot with an Hitachi HD camcorder.

Just shot with my digital camera on video mode, its a fugifilm finepix j250. Nothing special but an excellent budget camera

The Fujifilm Finepix are good. I used to use an S5800 for stills and video. I replaced it with an S200 EXR for stills and still used the S5800 for video until I got the Hitachi last year.
