got bored so i took a engine ive got and porpa cleaned it new parts and a nice lick of paint looks smart :) the engine behind is what it looked like befor i started

Looks very nice.
But that starter motor looks like a Metro one with the solenoid/actuator sticking forward which on my Mini fouled the front panel, on a Mini pre-engaged starter motor the solenoid/actuator is moved up towards the distributor to clear the front panel.

it dont hit the front panel i tested it. when i bought the starter it said it was for a mini, there is quite a big gap see the pic :)
