Do you mean the black half leather ones. Was thinking of using them to start with and then source a set of old frames to get recovered to the design I want. Don't and strip and redo the special seats as there ain't many around and they are worth more to someone like they are

Found out in work today that my bosses husband is a carpenter and always up for little jobs and has always wanted a mini so am going to get him to knock up a dash and centre console for me from some of the templates on here and see what I can do with them when I app later them. Getting ahead of myself I know but thinking that if I can make them well enough and there's a demand I may try and make a few to pay for the little extras I want for the mini.

What 1100 did you have was it the rose one or the silver one like mine. I was originally going to restore It to standard but when looking at it properly I decided that the original silver didn't do it justice and the interior was not my thing at all and the whole point of having a mini is to be able to enjoy it properly. So decided that it will stay silver but a different shade and metallic, probs be a gun metal silver and then have a black interior and finishing kit.

Basically going to make it may interpretation of what I think the special should be.. Lol it will still have the same engine in it as we'll mind.

nice project, good work on the repairs :) when i see people struggling to work in small garages i feel lucky to have a bigger yard to work in! fair play to all you guys who do a full restoration in small garages, think i would struggle to do it!

I was struggling with what space I had as such have built a hard stand onto the side of the garage and can now stick the car on that and have the garage to work in the dry on the other bits for it. Can't wait to get it set out fully over the next few weekends just got to clear out the old interior and extraction alloys

This will be my last post for a while. Leaving the scene for a bit as haven't got the time, space or skills to finish the mini up to the standard I need. She's going up for sale and getting a little jap number as need a reliable everyday car for work and a bit more money as got a wedding to plan. Thanks for all the help and will continue to lerk on here for the near future until I can get another one in a few years time. Now to try and sell her.
