ok people, gave my engine a clean today and its all night and ... well... clean
But on the head on the left hand side as you look at it there is a number on it. Anyone shed some light onto what it means/what my head is(im guessing its a model number of some sort)

Its a 1275 head but thats all i know, standard as far as i know...

the number i found is.. 12G840B I think thats it...not sure about the 8 and the 0 at the end could be a O.

Where exactly on the head is it? have you a pic? if it is in the casting i may be able to help, if it is a 'stamping' it is chance to be an engineering companys ref. number after doing some work on it

Yeah i was thinking it might be a 12g940 to, Altough odd to find it on the right hand side?

Ifthis is the case it is a st 1275 head casting but is the best head to start modifying as it holds the most potential
