Why does everyone seem to prefer clear indicator lenses to orange ones? Are they considered more modern looking or something?

How well does this stuff sound deaden? if it's, say, half the price of propper stuff, is it at least half as good?

i think clear is a more neutral colour and some people dont like the orange spoiling there colour coded cars if that makes sense?

In exactly the same as normal mass loading sound deadening. The catch, it's bitumen based so can be messy if it gets hot.

Well I can't compare it to the MEGA expensive audio stuff as I've never used that..... but since I fitted the flashing to our Mini it has certainly made it sound like a less tinny car. I have only used it on the floor, but I'd imagine if you do behind the doorcards etc, it would be even better!

So if you're happy to risk the bitumen getting hot then you get £50+ stuff for £15? And is it just Evo Stik that has the good sound deadening properties or can you use cheaper flashing tape? and how stiff is the stuff? is it easy to work into the valleys in the floor and shape it around corners etc?

Going the other way, if you want to go lighter and faster, removing the sound deadening from the floor and rear seat base saves a lot of weight and costs nothing. Also you can get a hole saw for well under a tenner. ;)

paint your brake calipers red, extra 25kw

I smell a 'mighty car mods' fan?

The best is when they weld 'brembo' covers over a drum brake.

Rake loves it!

(you will either get this - or me immensely confused - for those that dont get it, http://www.youtube.c...r/mightycarmods)
