Here is my '87 classic mini in Kawasaki Green. This car has been built up over the past two to three years and is now my every day car. The car has recently been fitted with a 1275 MG Metro engine but is not yet registered; this will be down to the new owner. This mini has been lovingly restored to its current state without cost in mind! Although the car is a great runner and looks superb it is not practical for my line of work this is why I am selling it! Car must go. It is MOT'd until August 2012 and is Taxed until the end of February 2012.
Body
When i purchased this car is was as rotten as a pear but after a large amount of panel renewal, it was as solid as ever. All panels used are genuine heritage panels including; a complete front end (flip front), door seals, A panels, full scuttle panel and entire rear end with rear valence. Once there was a solid base to work from reconditioned sub-frames where fitted as well as reconditioned radius arms. Fully adjustable Spax dampers and Hi-Lo's were fitted to give a lower smother ride. The car is fitted with a Toad Ai606 Cat 1 alarm to keep it safe.
Engine
The 1275 metro engine has done just over 54k miles, but has only done 3k since it's rebuild two years ago. The engine is a stage one including a K and N cone air filter, maniflow sports manifold followed by an Rc40 twin DTM exhaust. I have fitted a KAD quick shift to allow for shorter, sharper and smoother gear changes. As well as performance parts I have renewed other components; a larger alternator (within the last year), coil pack and HT leads. I have given the car a mini service recently changing the oil, oil filter, coolant and cleaned the air filter. In order to stop the car there are servo assisted four pot mini spares brakes mounted on 8.4" Disc's.
Interior
Up front there is a carbon fibre dash which houses three smiths gauges for oil temp, oil pressure, water temp and volts. Also included in the price is a JVC head unit with JBL 6x9's under the rear seats behind acoustic carpet and two Infinity 13cm speakers behind the air vents on the dash. A full retro retrim interior is fitted which includes; roof liner with sun shades, dash rails, gator's, seats and door cards with chrome door furniture. The boot and boot lid are lined to give a cleaner look.
Exterior
The wheels are 7x13 soft lines wrapped in Nangkans, the wheels are band new. Around the wheels are genuine sport pack arches, front are cut for quick and easy opening of flip front. The front screen is brand new as well as all seals on the car. Front windows are fitted with wind deflectors to reduce wind noise. The car is currently fitted with standard rear light lenses but comes with clear ones.
To finish up
There are a few small dents and chips around the car as well as some small blemishes on the bright work, what can i say it's a mini! Other than that this is an excellent car and is not to be missed! Car comes with band new lexus rear lights. The car comes with full history and all receipts.
