Hi, I'm looking to spruce up my interior a bit and thought some alloy door handles would look quite good. The cheapest I can find are these: http://www.ebay.co.u...a#ht_645wt_1165 However I don't know what they are like quality wise and thought I'd ask for some opinions. I've seen some going up to £60+.

Ollie.

Hey Ollie, if i was you i wouldnt get alloy handles as those type seem to peel after a few years i know mine did, plus they are proper cold to use!
if your going to get new handles i would have a look at the dsn milled ones as they are great quality and you get a choice of colours however they are a bit pricy.

i got some from mini sport and although they look the "Bogs Dollocks" the screws come loose after a while and the window winder will quite commonly remove the screw with all that winding so if you do use them remember to coat the threads in locktite

They do look good, but unfortunately way out of my price range :'(

Lipider- I've had that problem with my current ones, I was driving back from collecting the mini and one of the handles fell off. I'll bare your locktite idea in mind.

I bought one of these sets off ebay that were supposedly "chrome" but were dull boring brushed aluminium when they arrived so they were sent back, I was looking at the ones on mini sport, and they list them as "chrome alloy", are they really as shiny as they are in the pic because I'm really after some pucca door furniture! Proper shiny chrome.

I know these may be way out of your price range, but they are so bloody nice and you might be tempted to scrape some more money together.

£108, DSN Classics.

I've got some of the DSN handles. They are lovely. Well worth the money.

Didn't need the winder as i have poly windows.

I also have these but am yet to fit.... http://www.minisport...o_C_MAD002.html

Leacy mg have genuine rover alloy sets for around £60. No flakey coating, just proper metal, so a good investment.

Not really bothered if they flake now I think about it. I'd probably get them powder coated or something.

I think the cheaper coated kits are all pretty much the same.
