if your going to get new handles i would have a look at the dsn milled ones as they are great quality and you get a choice of colours however they are a bit pricy.

Lipider- I've had that problem with my current ones, I was driving back from collecting the mini and one of the handles fell off. I'll bare your locktite idea in mind.

#i got some from mini sport and although they look the "Bogs Dollocks" the screws come loose after a while and the window winder will quite commonly remove the screw with all that winding so if you do use them remember to coat the threads in locktite
I bought one of these sets off ebay that were supposedly "chrome" but were dull boring brushed aluminium when they arrived so they were sent back, I was looking at the ones on mini sport, and they list them as "chrome alloy", are they really as shiny as they are in the pic because I'm really after some pucca door furniture! Proper shiny chrome.

I know these may be way out of your price range, but they are so bloody nice and you might be tempted to scrape some more money together.

Didn't need the winder as i have poly windows.
