Just shown the kids a youtube video of spit on the michael aspel show. They loved it, then the mrs piped up i can't belive i have never seen that before!!!!!!!!
She is 29 and hearing that made me feel quite old. Lol

I've got a spit the dog puppet in the attic, I remember seeing him live at some show years ago!!

Haha i have just found out she has never seen Tiswas either, let alone Ivor the engine. Kids don't have a clue how lucky they are these days with so many channels. I seem to recall about an hour and a half in the afternoon, and part of saturday morning and that was it.
By the way i'm only just 40 so not mega old. Lol

Mmm Banana Splits, Camberwick Green, Trumpton, Magic Roundabout, Hair Bear Bunch, Top Cat, Thunderbirds, Joe 90, Stingray, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Captain Scarlett, Clangers, Wombles. Proper kids programs (and grown ups to!!) Crackerjack but i loved Tiswas. Happy days.

I'm still young at heart Shifty. Lol

Honestly the programs from the late 70's to maybe very early 90's leave todays shi t leaving a lot to be desired.
I know H&S would have a field day with a lot if the stuff, but we had proper funny stuff back then.
Reality tv has a lot to to live upto in my eyes.

Have a look at the "Ivor the engine" vids. I remember my sister shouting me everytime it came on. Last night i was in bloody stiches as to how rediculous it looks compared to the stuff my kids watch now. Yet back then it was fantastic

You can't beat the Dying Fly from Tiswas. Maybe i could take the for damages to my back from copying them all them years ago. Lmao
