aye, tis for the wife, she's champing at the bit to actually drive the damn thing but as she's never driven in snow before I'm insisting she gets some practice driving first.. LOL... to be honest, I think she'd be OK, thing that impresses me the most about the car is the driver feedback, and I never thought I'd say that about an auto..

been having fun pointing her at websites that sell shiny bits for mini's...

only thing we really need at the moment though, is dial faces to convert from kph to mph, I'm guessing they are much of a much from all the shops. She wants central locking installing as well which shouldn't be too bad, she'd like electric windows but I'd guess that'll be a major PITA to sort out, I was originally thinking of just finding some motors from a micra in a scrappy but there really doesn't look like theres much room in those door cards...

There is a company which is currently designing a central locking/ electric window/ alarm kit for the classic mini. They have a kit for the Morris Minor and its £250. Which in my opinion isnt too bad for all three.

It depends what you want, central locking wise there are lots of kits out there :)

Its just started to snow heavily here. I am not amused! I gotta drive the car to a clients on Tuesday......the heater is broken

lol... thats no problem, just wrap up... I just hate FWD in the snow, always puts me on edge that I dont have the option of using the throttle to point the nose where I want to go...

Hi..and welcome to TMF and enjoy.........as for FWD the mini is the best as the engine weight is right over the wheels ......just look at the works rally mini's of the 60s .............

heh, my old Skoda Rapid had the engine over the wheels as well ;)... that thing was ace in the snow....
