Hi again guys...

My car came with a 'Stage 1 Kit' when I bought it so I'm fitting the new inlet manifold and exhaust system as the car is going back together...

On the original manifold the one-way-valve for the servo (pictured) was screwed directly into the manifold (the original combined exhaust/inlet cast iron one).

As you can see, the threaded hole in the new manifold is far too large to take the valve. So I am wondering what I can put into that hole that would allow me to connect the servo to the manifold? I've seen a 12H1405 adapter at various suppliers but I can't identify the actual size of it at any of them! The threaded hole in the manifold is about 15mm in diameter.

The (remote) servo has a one-way-valve fitted so it isn't a requirement to fit another on the manifold really if the 12H1405 fits.

Thanks in advance for your help (again)... :shy:

That was quick!

So, you think the 12H1405 will fit the hole...?

I'm not sure about a banjo union - I think the vacuum hose just pushes onto the non-return valve (or 12H1405)...

No the later servo fixes using a banjo. The same banjo bolt and copper washers as the oil pipe on earlier cars. I believe the outlet stub uses the same thread as the valve you already have.

Thanks Dan...

This is a very steep learning curve for me! :shy:

So, 2A715 - 'Bolt-Banjo-Oil Pipe to Block and Vacuum hose to servo - 88 on' then!

Then I'd need a NAM8568 hose with the appropriate fitting for the banjo...?

Yes but with an aftermarket manifold they tend to be too long (the manifold port is in a different place) and as they are rigid plastic they can't really be reshaped. You can chop the rigid pipe out from between the fittings and replace with vacuum rated hose, or cut the banjo end off an oil transfer pipe and push the vacuum hose onto that. That's what I do as you can form the pipe to clear everything, works well with twin carbs.

Excellent, thanks!
