It will easily take 200 bhp
Have any of you people actually ever seen a JKD 6 speed gearbox ? they are a lot stronger than any other gearbox on the market, the bearings are massive compared to you everyday 5 speed.....
The case is a lot stronger it has extra strengthening on all the weak areas...massive bearings the gears are 50% wider.

What happens if you damage a gear? JKD are out of business arent they? I doubt you'll be able to get and spares.
Drive it sensibly, then you won't break any gears.

Crazy money
Not really, the cost is the development and testing of a product that was only made as a very small batch run. If you want to see expensive work out the difference between the sale price asked for with and without the 5 (yes only 5) gear sequencial for sale on eBay

For those of you with counting difficulties 6 is one more finger than normal people have on one hand, so if you hold up a normal persons hand (you may get thumped for doing this so be careful) and count the fingers and thumb then add one to this number you will get six.
It goes a little like this . 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. R, R is for reverse or backwards, a little like some of the statements and questions I keep on getting :)

as a race box it would be lovely a gear for every bend. the dog parts will not wear that fast as these were made from very good material. yes jkd have gone but if parts are needed for these boxes a do know a man wear brand new items can be purchased, these parts granted are not cheap as they are like hens teeth. rare
im half tempted my self even if it just sat on the shelf.

The simple fact of JKD being in business would mean that the gearbox could be bought from them at a reduced cost, as they would surely still be selling them ??
The parts are not so difficult to reproduce, as they are dog engagement there are no specialist baulk ring surface treatments to worry about.
Dog boxes on the road, well yet again I find this interesting, they are a little different to drive on the road agreed, however 99% of all motorbikes have a dog engagement gearbox, and they seem to be ok on the road.

Yes but on a Motorcycle you do not engage gears in the same way e.g it's up or down with your foot on the gear lever, not the same as a car.
Another important thing to note is that a M.Bike weighs significantly less than a Mini, so will put a lot less load on the gearbox etc.

This is NOT a motorcycle gearbox or gearkit, it is designed for the Classic Mini and as such is very much stronger than all others that have been or are currently on the market.

do you know the final drive of this box.
i am also assuming there is no diff with it.
as the description on eBay isnt the best.

What final drive do you want in it ? currently it has a 3.11:1
No it's not 1.1 in top it about 0.9 something or maybe 0.898 something like that any way
With 195/45-13 tyres 1:1 drops a 2.76:1 final drive 70mph = 2615rpm
