I've had an ongoing problem with these

A while back they went, along with all brake lights, interior light, rear screen etc
changed the flasher unit, checked hazard switch, I then fixed it by changing the fuse

Since then, they've been temperamental, today they went off on the way to college, some how worked on the way home, but now aren't working, neither is the interior light

I've changed the fuse and still nothing, all connections have been checked etc

Any help would be great

my friends mini did this, do you have the 4 fuse type fuse box? are any of the connections on it slightly corroded? I replaced the fuse holder on her mini and hey presto everything worked again, other then that could be a wire shorted or broken, if your fusebox isnt in the best of condition i would replace that first £12 i think from minispares :)

I had the exact same problem so I removed the fuse box and cleaned it up along with the terminals and this seems to have done the trick but sometimes my indicators dont work but by turning on my hazard warning lights then turning them off seems to kick start the indicators again (weird lol) I have changed my indicator relay so next is the hazard warning light switch for me to see if this finally cures it.

Yeh I've been told countless times to check the fusebox, but all the connections look okay

I'm ruling out the fuse box though as the top fuse is indicator relay

but also brake lights, rear screen etc, and all of those are still working

Before ruling it out I would just take it out and give it a good clean. What may appear to look ok may not be. It will take litrally 10 mins to scrub up with a toothbrush and WD40 and some emery paper. Just take a quick pic or draw a wee fuse box with what coloured wires go where!

yeah electrical connections are funny things any kind of bad connection atall can cause mayhem as as electricity is itself invisable its hard to see whats going on. maybe check alonng the wires from the indicators to identify where the power is going missing.

Cleaned up the fusebox completely, wasn't that bad to be honest, put it all back together and indicators worked for a few seconds then stopped... I then turned the interior light to be completely off, and after a while indicators worked, then I pushed the door switch for the interior light when the light was actually turned off, and they went

So I'm guessing it's something to do with the interior light? or the door switch

does the interior light just pop out?

This may help me!

My indicators and headlights aren't working, the hazard switch works, the headlight switch doesn't work, the flash on the stalk works but the indicators don't?

Any help or advice would be great as well!

(sorry to thread jack)

So I thought top 35a fuse, test the fuse and its working

I now literally have no idea

Give it an encouraging punch? Did you manage to pull the interior light out?
