Right I think ive been a wee bit stupid with choseing my springs.
They are 700lbs/inch for the front and 400 for the back, the reason it worries me is that i saw a Kadett on ebay and he only had 400 on the front!

So are the springs too hard? :o

700 is going to give you a hard ride ! but what are you after! 400 would be very simular if not more dynamic than std!!!!

i suggest trying them remember to get the damping set correctly! there are around 25+settings! in order to control the spring action !
the spring will be altered by ride height you require too ! (but not greatly)
the higher torque of the spring the higher your ride hight!

(piccy for topic ref only these are rears! wound to the lowest softest! setting )gaz adjustable coilovers

Also worth noting that if your coilovers are too hard, then the continuos strain this puts on the mounts can lead to breakages. I found this out the hard way, when the top coilover mount sheared off and came through the top of the wing whilst i was on the motorway....

Make sure your mounts are really good....

im having an issue with my gaz coilovers ive just fitted on the rear, they seem to be too soft as i have no rebound on them with no load in the back or the boot, i need them as low as they can go but there is no suspension.

Any ideas on how to resolve it?

Have you had them set up with corner weghts weighed, etc?

What kit do you have? I know you say you Gaz coilovers, which I haven't got experience of, but with Spax coilovers there is a standard kit and a lowered kit??

i havent done the corner weights yet, that will be done at somepoint.

I think it may be the standard kit as the length of the springs is 9.5inches, im going to remove them and go to merlin motorsport tomorrow as they have reccomended around 150lb spring rate.
