fit radius arm locating the rear(inner bolt first keep this loose !!!!
then refit outer plate without nut! on the actual shaft !
then place camber adjuster over with the adjusting nuts loose !
then finger tight the inner nut
then finger tight the outer nut ! set your innitial camber (its best to get tis set via lazor at a garage/tuning centre)
then tighten final outer shaft nut ! to torque setting as with the inner nut
this should give you alll the play you need !

I have just noticed your photo of your Mini Van. My first Mini was a van way back in 1963. I have attached a rather grainy black and white photo from the 60's when I was 18 years old. Ah the memories this van brings back.

How did you resolve the problem? Did you turn the shafts down on a lathe or use some other method to do it? (just interested for future reference!) thanks
Nothing so technical I'm afraid. I had a repair kit for a radius arm which includes a new spindle. This spindle and the original spindle were the same but the spindle that was causing the problem was longer shoulder to shoulder by approx 2mm.
And they call this fun!
