just wondering what colour base coat shall i use if I'm going four a mulberry red finish?

you only need a colored base coat if the red is very thin or you only have a small about of it so you do less coats in the red but you can buy tinted primer so if it needs priming get a red tinted primer if thats what you mean by base coat :)
