As above there's usually a little dribble of oil under my car and I thought it was the rod selector seal but looking today I noticed it was coming from the crankcase breather pipe... What does this mean??
Thanks

It might be clogged full of emulsified oil, and the air is struggling to get out maybe... undo the two nuts holding it on and run it under a tap? Give the surrounding areas a good clean and take her out for a spin to see if it is definatly coming from there...
I'm not 100% sure but a friend of mine has a mini 1275 and his crank case breather was full of the gunk :S

Also check your oil level. It maythe be too full. Some blowoff is normal and over time needs a cleaning or replacing of the breather but if you have too much oil it can blow into the breather. Motorcycles tend to do the same thing.

Just realised there's 2 breathers... I'm talking about the one on the rad end... access to it is restricted by the bottom hose. Sorry for any confusion if it's not the crankcase breather

bump... any infomation as to why my timing cover breather could be leaking? just not tight enough at the cover of clogged breather or could it be worse?

Are you positive it is coming out the top of the breather?
I had one leaking also.....but it had a crack. Removed it and fixed the crack.

Not positive no... Would I have to remove the rad and hoses to get to it and the timing cover? Is it normal that there would be an oil leak there though? I thought it was for breathing eg air, not oil...

Ah this was the one on the fly wheel housing, was all full of mank. Cleaning it out did fix it, but it was only a slight dribble, it wasn't dripping on the road, just making the engine look untidy. As for your leak, oil will get there but it sounds very unlikely that it will cause a leak as you have described.
Is the leak a constant leak.. if you leave the car in a new spot over night will you have a puddle? I'd try getting underneath the car, then with a bit of cloth give the engine a good wipe. Take her out for a drive for 20mins, (no muddy roads), then have a look underneath again that wil show how bad and where it is coming from.
