edit (cant do it above?!), found a few more reports about Ka and Fiesta UJ's fitting so will look at trying one, not too keen on the hex shaft idea but will see if I can't find a spline to spline one!

If you want spline to spline, look into defender steering uj, or disco / rr classic etc... As I am 99% they are of same (rover) spec. Might be wrong but worth a size up! Cheers

I remembered to measure one out of an old rack today, I make it 9/16 diameter, 36 teeth on the spline, will try and find out if landy ones are the same, they look it from my memory of changing them all the time in my defender!!!

Sorry it wasnt car builder solutions for the spline piece it was this one: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item230410881f
The I bought some stainless steel bar 19mm diametre, thats sits perfect in the adaptor and is welded in, cut to the right lenght then a stainless UJ with solid ends was drilled and welded on the other end of the bar. Then a second bar welded into the UJ going to a quick release steering wheel hub.
Car builder solutions do the UJs and then I got some 19mm rose joints to support the shafts. Hope that helps.
