Elephant would not quote for me, I am 18 with one years NCB on a 998cc 1975 Mini.

Hmm, did you phone up? I phoned up a couple of weeks ago, and they told me the same on the phone, that they would not quote for me because of my age, but maybe I should try again?

I did it through Tiger.co.uk to get that quote :)

Ok will try that! Thanks!!

No problem mate, if not confused.com gave me that quote as well :)

Right, I have tried Tiger, and they have said £1400 something. And you have similar driving experience to me, passed my test four months ago, 1yr NCB from Provisional policy. Live in cheap area (Wales). Put on parent with excellent driving history. Have you done anything major different?

Do you have any ideas for me please?

Many thanks!

I have my mum and my dad on my policy as secondary drivers :)

Try CIS (cooperative insurance), i just did mine with them this morning, was getting 750-800 from the usual suspects like admiral, elephant etc BUT if you go directly through co-op site i just got mine for £475 with everything thrown in, breakdown, homestart, euro cover and key cover etc etc all the added extras ticked.

and mines a 1275 sidewalk with only 1 years no claims.

try doing a quote with a named driver with a few no-claims too, tell em there your wife or 'life partner' lol
